A stunning strand of rare, graduated antique red coral from the Himalayas, that I purchased in northern Thailand from a local antiquities dealer in 2004 and have now made up into a necklace finished with a sterling silver clasp. This strand has 88 beads including a magnificent centre bead and weighs 55 grams.

A very wearable tribal antique coral necklace. Red coral is traditionally believed to ward off the evil eye and is worn for protection.

Measurements: length 45.5 cm (17.75"). The beads range from 5 mm to 14 mm diameter 

I have seen antique coral of this high quality sell for over US$20 per gram.
